what will i have to do?

Not much! When your chef emails you the monthly menu proposal, you'll review the menus, request modifications if needed, and reply with your approval. This happens once per month. We ask that you also complete a Zelle payment request once/week. (There is a monthly pre-payment option if you’d prefer even less contact from us.)

what is the investment for this service?

Prices vary depending on the number of meals + quantities you'd like each week, but you can expect to pay between $575-$715 per cook day for 3-5 entrees of 2-6 portions each. This price includes your service fee plus a set cost for groceries. This number is based on the average cost of groceries for your desired service size using data from our clients over the past 9+ years. We factor in conventional vs. organic vs. combination ingredient costs as well. You will receive a personalized quote when you complete your initial phone consult with Mandy.

how can a personal chef help me and/or my family?

Simply put, the #1 reason Nourishment exists is to make it easier for folks to come to the table and have a delicious meal. We also have the ability to curate menus to fit your family’s needs perfectly, no matter what. And trust me, we’ve seen it all. But the benefits of this service are plentiful. We’ll take the mental load of menu planning off of your plate AND we’ll save you from the dreaded weekly trip to the grocery store. You won’t have to wash/prep/chop ingredients or cook food at all, and you definitely won’t have to worry about washing up all of those pots + pans. All said and done, this service will save you an average of 5-8 hours each week.

when and where is the food cooked?

Your grocery shopping and cooking takes place on your assigned cook day. That day stays the same each week. To be a contract cook in Wisconsin, your chef must cook from your home. She will bring her mobile kitchen (utensils, pots/pans, etc.) to your home and prepare all of the week's meals at that time. You do not need to be present for the cook day, but it’s perfectly fine if you are home. A friendly note- we cook in ALL types of kitchens, so have no fear, your space is perfect.
